Volume Keys 0.3 – Volume Control for Windows Mobile Phone Devices

by Mr. Makk

VolumeKeys-0.3

Its been a long time since the Windows Phone OS 6.5.x is out and there has been no update on any compatible Volume Control. Well recently Ponchofiesta @ XDA-Developers has come up with a new Volume Control which does looks really promising and the biggest advantage is that it works with latest Windows Mobile Phone OS builds. Here are some more details on it.

You can control it with the volume keys of your device or with your finger/stylus (but it has to be opened with the volume keys first). Supports (W)(Q)VGA (means VGA, WVGA, QVGA and WQVGA). It has not been tested on Square resolutions. It’s written in C# for .NET 3.5 so you need to have the .NET Framework 3.5 installed on your device. The "0" in major section of the version means it is beta and could have some bugs and/or is not feature complete.

Known issues / TODO:

  • Speaker icon does not change
  • No landscape support
  • Does not save volume if you slide up/down outside the bar
  • Does not work with in call volume
  • Seems to block some keys (send/end)
